The highly acknowledged VR Summit returns for its third edition, uniting global experts and innovators in extended reality (XR), neuroscience, psychology, education and clinical practice. Previous events brought world‑renowned XR researchers and innovators to Bochum, placing the city on the map of cutting‑edge research and innovation in immersive technologies. Keynote speakers include Mel Slater, Maví Sánchez, Doron Friedman, Martin Edwards, Zillah Watson and Anthony Steed. Attendees will share pioneering work through talks, posters and VR demos — all focused on the intersection of extended reality and human cognition.
VRS Hackathon 2025: Pushing the Boundaries of Touch
Kicking off on 18–19 October, the VRS Hackathon challenges interdisciplinary teams of developers, designers, researchers and artists to reinvent haptic feedback in virtual reality. Equipped with state‑of‑the‑art VR headsets and haptic gloves, participants will craft experiences that redefine how we feel and what we can do in virtual spaces, from tactile training tools to emotionally engaging storytelling.
